General Road & Traffic Information
Streetworks, Roadworks.org and one.network provide essentially the same information about roadworks and traffic incidents but their interfaces and functionality differs.
Traffic Update provides similar information but the site is harder to search in rural areas (though you can find information on specific trunk roads easily using the menu at the top).
Highways England (now called National Highways) and @HighwaysSEAST on twitter provides roadworks details.
Waze App gives you the best route in real time with help from fellow drivers.
@WBerksRoads twitter feed about roadworks and reported problems through West Berks Council.
West Berkshire Council, Swindon Council, and Wiltshire Council have links to maps of their areas showing roadworks and delays. The Vale of White Horse Council’s section is rather less useful.

Great Western Railways operate services in this area. Worth checking their Journey Checker before you travel.
Bedwyn Train Passenger Group provides information on any issues or disruptions between Theale and Bedwyn. Please email info@bedwyntrains.org.uk to go on their mailing list.
They report that the 0831 train will be off-peak until 12 December 2021 to alleviate the fact the our normal first off-peak service (0924) is not running at the moment.
