• Enjoy a special Valentine’s themed Create & Play morning at Cobbs Play Barn from Mon 13 to Thu 16 February.
Children will create their own love heart cards to frame & give to their special someone.

• Short Story Competition for Primary School aged children, run by Laura Farris MP and Hungerford Bookshop. The theme is ‘The day the King came to visit’. Entry deadline is 20 Feb.

• BookTrust Storytimes in both Thatcham Library on Mon 13 Feb, 10 to 10.30am and Newbury Library on Thur 16 Feb, 11.00 to 11.45am.
• LEGO sessions for children over 5 years: Newbury Library on Mon 13 Feb 2 to 3pm; Thatcham Library on Tue 14 2 to 4pm and on Fri 17 10am to noon; and at Burghfield Common Library throughout opening hours all week.
• Craft fun for all ages at Hungerford Library on Tue 14 10.30am to noon; and at Lambourn Library on Fri 17 Feb 2 to 4pm and Sat 18 Feb 10.30am to noon with materials provided.
• Creative writing workshops for 7 to 11 year olds on Thur 16 at Burghfield Common Library 11am to 12.30pm and at Theale Library 2.30 to 4pm. These are run by Explore Learning and will take you on an exciting exploration of the Amazon Rainforest. Advance booking is required for these workshops.
• A musical storytime for 3 to 8 year olds at Pangbourne Library on Fri 17 11.00 to 11.35am, when storyteller Jonathan Clifton will tell the tale of The earl, the cook and the sandwich
