Step into the beauty of late winter at the award-winning Welford Park Winter Gardens & Snowdrops, opening Wednesday 28 January 2026 and running until Sunday 1 March 2026 (closed Mondays & Tuesdays). Open from 11am – 5pm
Renowned as one of the finest places in the UK to see snowdrops, Welford Park offers a truly uplifting winter walk. Thousands of delicate white snowdrops carpet the five-acre beech woodland, line the tranquil banks of the River Lambourn, and shine in the formal gardens alongside hellebores, aconites, and winter-flowering shrubs.
Take a gentle stroll around the grounds of the charming Queen Anne-style house (house not open), then warm up in the welcoming Tea Tent with a hot drink, slice of famous cake or even some hot lunch options. A visit to the Gift Shop is the perfect way to round off a relaxing and memorable day out.
This year, visitors can also enjoy a special creative experience by joining artist Charlotte Englefield for a 3-hour art workshop on 5 & 19 February. Places can be booked at www.charlotte-englefield-art.
