Dr Michael Skinner has worked on the molecular biology of both animal and human viruses, including coronaviruses, since 1981. Most recently his work has focussed on studying innate immune responses, the arm of immunity that can cause severe COVID-19 symptoms, using ‘next generation sequencing’ approaches.

His talk will cover:
