His new memoir, Ancient Land, Pastures New, chronicles the trials and tribulations of bringing that dream to life. Told in a light style with wry humour, the book could be seen as a cross between a vigneron’s alternative to A Year inProvence and a vine-hikers A-Z guide to planting in England.
