Shop volunteers required in Marlborough

If you love fashion, have a few hours to spare and want to support a local domestic abuse charity, we need you!

Society Without Abuse has a boutique fundraising shop in Hughenden Yard in Marlborough, where we sell new and lightly used high-end clothes and accessories for ladies, plus a rail for men too, and have some great designer labels on offer.

At the moment, we are struggling to find enough volunteers to help us keep the shop open.  We are looking for friendly folk, no retail experience necessary, just a willingness to show up and help a good cause – either on a regular basis, or perhaps be a back-up for holiday season.

We like to open 10 to 4, six days a week and most of our volunteers regularly do either a whole or half-day shift for us to fit around their other commitments. But if you could help term-time only, or on a fortnightly basis, then we’d still love to hear from you.

The money we raise in the shop goes directly to helping those impacted by abuse locally, including children and young people, helping them grow, supporting adults rebuilding their lives after an abusive relationship: plus a strong empahsis on prevention; to stop abuse before it happens.. By running the shop with volunteers, we maximise our contribution to the charity.
