In 2026, the Wantage Dickensian Evening takes place from 4pm to 9pm on Friday 4 December in The Marketplace. There will be Christmas attractions throughout the town, and many local businesses will be staying open late with festive extras such as a glass of fizz, nibbles and chocolates.

The Dickensian Evening Committee is  currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with the planning and smooth running of this much loved town event.
