Scope Mediation is an independent local mediation service, with extensive experience of helping families in the Newbury and surrounding area who are dealing with issues arising from separation and divorce. We work to the high professional standards of the Family Mediation Council.

Family mediation is a proven way of resolving conflict, improving co-parenting communication, and negotiating lasting settlements, in the context of separation, divorce, and other changed family circumstances.

The sorts of problems that we commonly mediate are:

• arrangements for where children live and how they are cared for;

• decisions on joint finances, debts and jointly owned assets;

• divorce settlements.

We also offer child-inclusive mediation, which is a way of giving children and young people a voice in decision-making processes.

Scope Mediation offers meetings in person in Newbury and online where more convenient.

Our fees are on a fixed-rate per-meeting basis, so that costs to the clients are transparent and manageable. We can apply for funding from the government Voucher scheme where arrangements for children are being mediated.
