Citizens Advice West Berkshire currently has a vacancy for a Receptionist/First Point of Contact
As a busy service, Citizens Advice West Berkshire receives many calls every day. Our receptionists are the first point of contact for clients who may approach our service, interacting with clients by telephone and face-to-face. The Receptionist/First Point of Contact speaks with clients to understand their issue in detail. They then help get them to the right person, such as by taking a message, transferring them to an adviser, providing information or signposting to other organisations more suited to help.
This role needs good judgement and a calm approach. You’ll often be speaking to people who are worried or stressed, so we’re looking for someone who can listen carefully, ask the right questions, keep good boundaries and handle confidential information with care.
Training will be needed and will be provided.
This is a voluntary role (expenses will be reimbursed) based in Newbury.
