Inklings is delighted to win the RETAS Best Independent Greeting Card Retailer in the Home Counties and South East. 

Inklings is a family owned business on Hungerford High Street that has recently celebrated its fortieth anniversary. With so many years in the retail business, owner Fiona Haddrell was delighted to win this recognition at the RETAS 2025 Greeting Card Retail Awards.

“We were nominated and shortlisted for the equivalent award for gifts in 2018. But this is the first time we have won,” Fiona explains. “The way that it works is that companies, agents, reps and people working in the industry nominate shops. The short list is then drawn up and the winner is announced and presented with the trophy at a ceremony in London. There are nine award areas across England, Wales, Scotland and NI.

“Our area is very big with the other shortlisted businesses coming from Bournemouth, Ware, Ampthill, St Albans, Petworth and Harpenden. These are the Oscars of our industry and we are very proud to have won as it reflects the ranges, quality and price of the cards that we offer as well as our high level of customer service.”

Inklings has many fans in the local area and has received such positive responses to the award on social media from people far and wide.
