After last year’s inaugural event, we have received multiple requests from people who have asked that we host the show again this year as it is an excellent, inclusive community project attracting people from the surrounding villages and an enjoyable detour for tourists and visitors to Hungerford. There were over 50 entrants aged between 6 and 86, over 400 entries and over 300 visitors on the day. An overheard ‘quote-of-the-day’ last year was, “Lovely, almost like a real horticultural show!”
So Hungerford Allotment Holders Association (HAHA) are pleased to be hosting another Hungerford Produce, Flower and Handicraft Show this year, in Hungerford Town Hall on Saturday 24 August 2024. The show will be open to the public from 2.30pm.
This year we would love even more entrants and particularly encourage the youngsters of the town to take part.
Please see class schedule here – (you can print it off as a pamphlet). Or if you only want to print off the entry form, right click on it below to save to your computer and print.
We would also like to charge a voluntary entry fee as a donation for a chosen local charity and enable entrants to donate their winnings to this charity should they wish to do so.
The unclaimed produce at the end of the show will be donated to the Foodbank and Hungerford Food Community projects. We will also hold a raffle where the proceeds over and above our costs, will also be donated to the chosen local charity.
We have a number of local sponsors and a team of five extremely hard working and enthusiastic volunteers who are determined to make this show a huge success!
