Town & Manor and Hungerford Town Hall

It’s been a busy time here at the Town and Manor!  
As well as our Hocktide events, which keep the ancient traditions going for another year, we have been working hard in numerous other areas. 
 
The Kennet Valley Wetland Reserve project group submitted the planning application to West Berkshire Council in early April. The result of rigorous preparation involving over 20 reports, we are waiting for it to be accepted and for a planning reference number to be issued to make the plans public.
 
There are currently 52 cows in residence on the Common with more expected soon. We urge everyone to keep driving responsibly, keeping to the 30mph speed limit on the Common roads and to leave no litter as it can seriously injure the cows if they accidentally eat it or step on anything sharp. Thank you.
 
The second Hungerford  Antiques and Collector’s Fair took place on 21 April in the Town Hall, again attracting hundreds of people to our lovely town. The next one is 9am to 3.30pm on Sunday 12 May and coincides with the Hungerford Food and Artisan Market in the Croft. So there will be something for everyone!

Our beautiful character rooms for hire include the Magistrates Room, the Town Hall for larger gatherings or the Corn Exchange for up to 240 people.

Hungerford residents get a 25% discount on hire rates.
