Volunteer Receptionist required in Newbury

Citizens Advice West Berkshire in Newbury is currently in need of a Volunteer Receptionist.

Citizen’s advice is looking for a volunteer in its office in central Newbury to be the first point of contact with clients who either come to the door or phone us. We are looking for someone on Tuesdays from 9.15am to 1pm.

As a volunteer receptionist you will:

  • Answer the phone or the doorbell to clients and record contact information and basic details of their issue.
  • Liaise with office manager or supervisor if the situation appears to be an emergency.
  • Enter the client information on to a spreadsheet.
  • Update client details on our internal recording system if relevant.
  • Carry out other admin duties if needed.

Extensive training is given for this role so no qualifications are needed. Ability to use a computer for basic data entry would be an advantage.
