Discount on lunches from the Fair Close Centre for West Berkshire seniors this winter

The Fair Close Centre in Newbury is pleased to be making their lunches even more affordable for local residents over 65 this winter.

Run by Age Concern Newbury and District, the kitchen at Fair Close provides two course lunches every day in their own restaurant, at Redwood House in Hungerford (Monday to Thursday) and also for Meals on Wheels across Newbury and Thatcham.

Their good quality, nutritious freshly cooked homemade lunches currently cost £7.50 but now any West Berkshire resident who receives the state pension is eligible for a £2 discount per meal via the Household Support Fund. After successfully applying they only pay £5.50 for lunch.

To make this happen, The Fair Close Centre is working in partnership with West Berkshire Council.

How to apply for lunch discount

For more information and how to apply please call Louise on 07496 587904.

Only individuals living independently in West Berkshire & drawing a state pension are eligible.
