Burghfest Beer & Music Festival in RG7 is back bigger than ever for 2023!

RG7 sees the return of the Burghfest Beer & Music festival on 22 and 23 September 2023 showcasing local cask ale and craft beer, ciders, gins, food vendors and bands in a family-friendly environment.

As Burghfield Santas end a run of Friday evening summer holiday pop-up pubs on the local Recreation Ground, focus turns to their annual two-day beer and music festival on Friday 22 and  Saturday 23 September 2023.

What it is

“Throughout the summer we’ve been testing new beers and food vendors so we can showcase the best the local area has to offer,” one of the organisers told Penny Post. “This year we’ll have the widest variety of beers ever, with around forty casks ales, ten craft keg lines, local ciders and a gin and prosecco bar.

“We get well over two thousand people of all ages each day and there will be plenty to keep families entertained with the music stage and fairground. From noon until 2pm on Saturday we’ve some of the brewers coming down for a chat – so if you want to find out more about what you’re drinking, don’t miss that.”

Music

Festival favourites Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes headline Friday night. Saturday’s entertainment starts with Burghfield’s oldest boy band, Sonic Weapon; early evening sees the fabulous The Small Strings Ukulele band back by popular demand, with popular rock and indie covers band, Dirtbag closing the festival.
