Eight Bells for Mental Health Call to Action During Mental Health Awareness Week. Are you ready to join us in making a difference for Mental Health Awareness Week?

This Saturday 13 May look out for our members, staff, trustees and friends walking from our drop-in centre at The Friends Meeting House, Newbury along Northbrook Street to the Clock Tower to raise awareness of mental health and the support Eight Bells can offer.

Mental Health Awareness Week runs from the 15 -21 May. Throughout the week, we encourage you to proudly wear green, the colour associated with mental health awareness. We also invite you to come along to our Open Day at Newbury Friends Meeting House on Monday 15 May from 10am – 3pm. Not only will you find out more about what Eight Bells for Mental Health does to support those experiencing mental health issues in West Berkshire, but you can take part in a range of activities that will be going on including prize bingo, our store cupboard shop. You can stay for a cuppa, cake and a chat or maybe a soup and roll. Children are welcome too.

Thursday 18 May join our ‘ Lets get Active Class’ at 10.30am at the Friends Meeting House with MOVEability. All abilities welcome. Friday 19 May our members will be out and about in Thatcham town centre talking to people about our service, come and have a chat and find out more. Sunday, we will be ending the week with an information stand in Sainsburys, Newbury.

Follow us on social media throughout that week for tips about managing anxiety, the theme of the week. We will also be hosting our daily big raffle draw on social media with some amazing prizes including a variety of family days out, Bombay sapphire tour, Health club memberships, a variety of hampers and much more.

At Eight Bells we firmly believe in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. By actively participating in Mental Health Awareness Week, we can demonstrate our unwavering support for individuals facing mental health challenges, as well as their families and friends. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and highlight the importance of mental well-being. All funds raised during Mental Health Awareness Week will be generously matched by the Big Give Campaign #KindToMind. One donation twice the impact. Join us during Mental Health Awareness Week.
