Our beautiful character rooms for hire include the Magistrates Room, the Town Hall for larger gatherings or the Corn Exchange for up to 240 people.

  • In preparation for the cows arriving on the common, volunteers are requested to help with the Common Clear-up Day on Sunday 2 April, meeting at The Downgate Pub at 10am.
  • Tutti Day lunch tickets will be on sale to the public from Tues 21 March from Crown Needlework. £55 pp for the traditional four-course lunch with Tutti speakers and ceremonies.
  • Looking forward to May, we will be inviting Hungerford organisations again to decorate the trees on the High Street for the coronation, following the success of this for the Platinum Jubilee.

Hungerford Coin & Stamp Centre

The big news this week is the Post Office announcement that the price of stamps are going up effective from 3 April.

First class stamps are going up by 15p to £1.10.
Second class stamps are going up by 7p to 75p.

At the Hungerford Coin and Stamp Centre we are still selling First Class stamps at 70p each and Second Class stamps at 50p each. Obviously from 3 April our discount prices will go up too.

The Commemorative stamps we sell will remain valid after July and are not being withdrawn from use.
