Huge thanks to Christmas “Lunch” Supporters!

Hungerford Christmas Lunch Box

Thank you very, very much to everyone who supported Hungerford Methodist Church’s Christmas Hampers.  For the third year running, we packed up some treats to deliver, and chatted by phone.

This could not have happened without the volunteers who gave freely of their time – shopping, wrapping, packing, delivering & phoning.  We are also extremely grateful to local businesses and organisations for their very generous support, especially Christian Alba Butchers, My Apple Juice, M&P Hardware, the Rotary Club of Hungerford, 1st Hungerford Scout Group, and the individuals who gave money.

Christmas Day “Lunch” in Hungerford

Instead of lunch in the Methodist Church Hall on Christmas Day, this year we’re planning to deliver some Christmas treats and chat by phone, to make Christmas Day special for those who are alone or in difficulty.

Please contact us by 10 December if you would like to take part as a helper or guest.

How you can help

We’re looking for helpers to pack up the treats beforehand, as well as people to deliver the treats or phone people.  Please note that some roles will require a current DBS certificate and/or references.

We would be grateful for donations to cover costs so that we can provide the treats free of charge to our guests.

We’d also appreciate baskets or shoe boxes (which we can wrap to make gift boxes).

For more details, please contact us by email steward.hungerfordmethodist@gmail.com or phone Catherine on 07717 133021.

This event is organised by Hungerford Methodist Church as a service to the local community.
