• Hampstead Norreys’s GreenFest is now done for the year and the organising committee would like to thank everyone who helped make it happen. From market vendors, and exhibitors, climate action groups and creatives on the dean, to everyone who hosted workshops, and to the incredible speakers who shared their decades of knowledge – none of this could have happened without you. An incredible 161 volunteers helped throughout the day and the whole event saw about 4,000 people coming from near and far to attend. See more details on their facebook page here.

• On Saturday 8 October the circus is coming to town (in the park outside the village hall) and the preschool will have a stall doing tattoos and  a raffle. Can you help? That bottle of fizz you don’t like, the gin you got as a gift but aren’t a fan, the bottle of spirits you swore you never drink again – please donate it . Donations to be dropped off inside business hours to preschool. Circus tickets are available at the shop or on parent pay if you have a child at the primary school. Full details here.

• There is still time adults and children to sign up for swim lessons with Jo in the pool at The Downs School in Compton, Visit swimlessons.co.uk for all details.
