Hungerford Summer Festival 2022

Hungerford Summer Festival 2022

WELCOME to the 30th Hungerford Summer Festival!

Along with Her Majesty, we are celebrating!

We are very proud that 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of this amazing event.

Formerly known as HADCAF, this highlight of the Hungerfod calendar has been brought to the community every summer by a dedicated team of volunteers since 1991 (apart from 2020, when even we were forced to cancel!)

This year’s programme brings you a variety of stunning events, mostly happening in the glorious marquee in The Croft Field.

We have everything you could want for your summer entertainment – music, drama, art, workshops, craft, cooking, wine, walks and talks, animals, horticulture, sport and more.

This year marks the very first Hungerford Summer Festival Mayor’s Portrait competition, open to all ages.

Peruse the full schedule on our website Events Page where you will find information on how to obtain tickets for all events.

Event highlights include:

Motown Gold Saturday 2 July 7.30pm
Motown Gold celebrate the finest songs from the Tamala Motown and Classic Soul era by musical ‘giants’ such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and The Jackson Five.

Award-winning Consone Quartet Monday 4 July 7.30pm
The highly acclaimed Consone classical string quartet will be performing Czerny’s String Quartet in D Minor.

Where is Mrs Christie? Tuesday 5 July 7.30pm
Agatha Christie disappeared for eleven days in 1926 and then claimed she didn’t remember anything. This riveting one-woman play explores the mystery.

Thank you to all our industrious volunteers who work throughout the year to make this programme happen and to our generous Sponsors, without whom we couldn’t bring the Festival to you. Special thanks to Greenham Common Trust who have championed us for so many years.
