Rachel Barker has created an email and whatsapp group for anyone in the Hungerford area who would like to support Ukrainians arriving in the area.

If you want to host, you can be matched with a family. Or if you want to support Ukrainian guests that is very welcomed too, for instance with English conversation practice.

Hosts are able to contact schools directly about places for their guests’ children. Shalbourne CE Primary School has spaces in all year groups R-Y6. As a very small village school they have a nurturing family environment with small class sizes and therefore a good pupil teacher ratio.
