Award-winning young artist Emerald from Hungerford

Emerald is a young and inspiring artist currently in Year 6 of Hungerford Primary School. She started doing art from the age of 7 and has explored various genres including chibi, manga and anime to improve her skills and individual style.

Her colourful designs are from her own imagination which expresses her vibrance.

Emerald has received several prizes already starting with Channel 5’s Milkshake for her ‘Teddy Bear Picnic’ picture, followed by a Christmas competition for her entry of a vintage Father Christmas, and a World Record Breaker award for an online art event during lockdown.

Emerald’s latest success was her winning entry for MP Laura Farris’ 2021 Christmas Card competition. Emerald was shocked when Laura Farris showed her Nutcracker Christmas Card being presented to Boris Johnson. Five hundred Christmas cards were sent out and Emerald was delighted that so many people were able to see her artwork.

Emerald has done personalised drawings of her friends and she also takes commissions. Her current project is two friends with a cat.

Emerald would love to work with someone who could be able to bring out more of her artistic abilities and to grow, learn new techniques.

To get in touch with Emerald or see more of her artwork please follow Emmi’s Art facebook page or email her Mum Tina on

Emerald’s other passion is cross country running.

On 22 March 2022 she was the only pupil from Hungerford Primary School to run in the West Berkshire & North Hants Primary Schools Cross Country Championships 2022.

Emeraald was really pleased to come 8th out of 314.
