Our Pop-Up shops have been going really well and this week we are delighted to welcome MYNT. Hand-sourced original coins made into beautiful one-off silver and gold pieces.

Fare Wise Travel

It’s great to see the travel scene building back up again but please remember you need a PCR test pre-booked for return to the UK and you must self-isolate until a negative result is obtained. USA now require a negative test within 24 hours of departure (was 72 hours). Masks increasingly mandatory especially on public transport. But Switzerland has relaxed quarantine for passengers in transit to France so skiing is possible again.

Regarding sustainability in travel, we recommend Eco-Ski who recycle and hire ski clothing and equipment.

Honesty Coffee Shops

Hungerford is lucky to have two Honesty Coffee Shops at Barrs Yard and Herongate Club.

This December, Honesty’s bread of the month is the Sage and Onion Cottage Loaf.

You can also pick up whole Christmas cakes (or enjoy a cheeky slice with a cup of coffee) as well as all the festive treats you can wish for by ordering them on our website for collection at your favourite Honesty coffee shop.

You can also use the virtual loyalty card app ‘RWRD’ to gain stamps every time you purchase your favourite coffee from any Honesty location and have access to exclusive offers and discounts, as well as getting a free coffee!

Here at the Hungerford Coin and Stamp Centre we haven’t been busier – with Christmas around the corner we are hectic supplying discount postage stamps to lots of customers. Save money on Royal Mail prices – our 1st Class stamps are 70p and 2nd Class just 50p – compared to 85p and 66p at the Post Office and their prices are going up again early next year.

We are still paying very high prices for old coin collections, banknotes, medals, stamp collections and old gold, silver and watches.

We are open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 2pm.

There is also the £50 trivial gift allowance that is tax-free for the employee. Another idea is to give half a day off work just before Christmas.

Dan from Hungerford Mortgage Company reminds everyone to pay off any debts by the required deadline as a CCJ (County Court Judgement) stays on your records for 6 years and if you need to get a mortgage during that time, you will have to get a specialist mortgage with higher premiums.
