Kintbury St Mary’s Church of England Primary School would like your help to revitalise their library. Thanks to a generous grant from The Miss Lawrence Trust and Kintbury Parish Council the school have bought and installed new shelving and are able to significantly update and refresh the book stock.
The school wants to raise at least £1,000 more to buy new books and then the Usborne Community Book Pledge, via local Independent Usborne Partner Gemma Cotterell, will generously provide an additional £600 worth of free books on top of this. This will allow all pupils to have access to a wide variety of high-quality fiction and non-fiction books to choose from and enjoy.
The library’s old books that are in good condition have been boxed up by parent volunteers and donated to the Books2Africa charity which has improves the quality of education in Africa and reduces the quantity of books going to landfill.
