Hungerford Town & Manor Wildflower & Wildlife Photography Competition

The Trustees of the Town and Manor of Hungerford are celebrating the success of their wildflower planting this year with a photography competition.

The wildlflowers have been planted to compliment the grassland and to enhance the flora and fauna of our beautiful Common. There are four areas of wildflowers bristling with over 15 varieties and the tall white daisies make the area easy to see. One is on the left of the road from Downgate to Crossways and just near the Everlong and the deep pit. Another is bisected by the path from Downgate to the Cricket Club.

These flowers attract many species of pollinators which are key to ensuring plants produce seeds.

Photographic Competition

We are offering prizes of £100 each for 2 categories:

  1. The best photograph showing the flowers
  2. The best photograph showing a pollinator on or within the flowers.
