News from Hungerford’s Shops & Businesses – July 2021

Now more than ever it is important to shop local. Hungerford Chamber of Commerce is also providing advice and support to help local businesses during this challenging time.

Hungerford Coin & Stamp Centre

We are very active sellers of discount postage and anyone turning up at our shop will see a sign advertising First and Second class stamps at a substantial discount to Royal Mail rates.

We can do this because we buy enormous quantities of modern stamps (since 1970s) from collectors and deceased estates. All the stamps are in Mint condition with original gum and it is quite legal to use these to send out your Mail.

Our First Class stamps cost 70p (Royal Mail price 85p) and Second Class stamps cost 50p (Royal Mail price 66p)

We can also make up parcels to any denominations you require- so if you are a prolific letter writer or send out large amounts of business mail save money now by coming to the Hungerford Coin and Stamp Centre

The Emporium

We have a wonderful eclectic range of treasures at The Emporium.

This fabulous Art Deco jewellery box has recently come into The Emporium for sale at £55.

Showing definite signs of age to its velvet exterior, the silk lined interior is in very good condition and the diamond shaped mirror is just stunning.

It bears a label stating that it was sold by Stringer and Bird in Clapham (if anyone has information on this company please let us know).
