Hungerford’s first Electric Vehicle event on Saturday 3 July, organised by HEAT (Hungerford Environmental Action Team) was a great success with several hundred people visiting to find out more about owning an electric vehicle (see video below).
Around 30 electric vehicles gathered (very quietly) on the Green together with electric bikes and motorbikes. About half belonged to local people who had kindly given up their day to show their cars and take the time to explain how they make ownership of an EV work for them. There were also commercial exhibitors with their new EVs and plenty of information on hand to help answer questions.
There were also electric bikes available to test drive around the Croft as demonstrated by Helen and Henry from HEAT below.
