Junior & Adult Cricket in Hungerford

The new cricket season began during the Easter holidays for some 70 juniors who enjoyed Hungerford Cricket Club’s mini-camps over two weeks.  Now the Adult and Junior teams are in action.

The 1st and 2nd (Saturday) XIs and Midweek XI start their league campaigns this week in Hampshire County Division 3 North, Hampshire Division 6 North West and Downs League Division 2 respectively.

The Junior teams play in the Berkshire Youth League, boys and girls aged 8 and over are welcome in our Under 9, 11, 13 & 15 Teams.  For younger children (Year R,1,2) we host the highly popular 8-week ECB All Stars programme, starting on 21st May.

More details of all our teams, fixtures, results and training sessions can be found at Hungerford.play-cricket.com.

At the close of this season, we plan to start a complete renovation of the outdoor nets.  This will create an improved, modern and durable facility for our juniors, adults, families and the wider community to use for many years to come.  We aim to raise about £30,000, and are very grateful to Greenham Trust, The Town & Manor of Hungerford and others for their generous support.  For more details, including sponsorship opportunities, see https://tinyurl.com/hccnetnews
