Helen Browning’s Royal Oak, Bishopstone

Bishopstone, SN6 8PP

A gently eccentric English pub and mini-hotel which won The Good Hotel Guide's 2022 César Award for Inn of the Year, and its 2023 Budget Hotel of the Year.  Set amid 1500 acres of organic farmland and woodland on the Wiltshire Downs offering farm tours, guided walks, picnics, corporate events, team away days and more. The ancient Ridgeway crosses our land and we have plenty of walking and cycle paths north and south of it. Find white horses, burial chambers and Iron Age forts.

After 17 years of looking after you, we've just about got the hang of it. We offer excellent local real ales and good classic simple food. Our outdoor kitchen offers pizzas, burgers, steaks, salads and more. We have 12 interesting bedrooms styled on our farm fields, a large garden and decks.

We also have a farm shop in the garden and The Flying Pig hot food van on the Ridgeway

"Thanks for fab lunch. Kids/teenagers/adults/dogs all indulging; fab food, lovely wine and wander back through the village."

"Awesome stay at the Royal Oak! Great food, drink, facilities and company; you couldn’t feel more at home away from home! They have an inspiring approach to food and farming, which can be learned about in the farm tour. Organic, ethical farming - you’re guaranteed to have a lovely time."
