Helen Browning’s Royal Oak, Bishopstone

Bishopstone, SN6 8PP

A gently eccentric English pub and mini-hotel set amid 1500 acres of mostly spectacular organic farmland and woodland on the Wiltshire Downs. The Ridgeway, the ancient national trail dating back 5000 years, crosses our land. Head west or east. Take the walks and cycle paths north and south of it. Find white horses, burial chambers and Iron Age forts.

Our pub offers excellent local real ales and good classic food. Our brand new outdoor kitchen offers pizzas, burgers, steaks, salads and various light bites. We have 12 interesting bedrooms styled on some of our farm fields, a large garden and decks for eating and drinking outside.

We also have a farmshop in the garden and The Flying Pig hot food van on The Ridgeway.

"Awesome stay at the Royal Oak! It offers everything you’re after really.... great food, drink, facilities and company; you couldn’t feel more at home away from home! They also have an inspiring approach to food and farming, which can be learned about in the farm tour. If you’re interested in organic, ethical farming and it’s influence on the environment, this is highly recommended! You’re guaranteed to have a lovely time so give it a go!"
