When Britain’s Got Talent was postponed, Suzi Cairns came up with the idea of a Lambourn’s Got Talent competition. She created the Lambourn’s Got Talent facebook group for local residents to upload 3 minute videos of themselves singing, dancing, juggling, riding and generally entertaining the community.
The competition proved to be a great success, putting a smile on many faces during lockdown. There were 26 entries in total and the winner was determined by the number of likes on their video. To watch all the videos, please join the Lambourn’s Got Talent facebook group.
Suzi would like to thank her fellow moderators Helen Noll, Rev Julie Mintern and Graham Jones; Victoria Louise who made the stunning trophy; Micky Allfrey from Simply Delish who made the matching cake; Keith Mintern and Gill Temple who produced the certificates; Abigail Berry who made the video compilation; John Porter who engraved medals; and kind sponsors Noll Countryside Services and Graham Jones Pharmacy.
The Winner – 9 year old Lexi & her pony William
Lexi (above) received the most votes (479) in the Lambourn’s Got Talent Facebook group for her showjumping skills and heartwarming friendship with 26 year old William.
Lexi has been riding since she was 6 months old, off the lead-rein since she was 6.5 years and has won 56 rosettes.
For more about Lexi and the competition, listen to Lexi’s interview with Suzi Cairns.
Runner Up – 5 year old Isla
5 year old Isla from Lambourn received 346 likes on the LGT facebook group.
Isla is obviously destined for the West End with her enthusiastic cover of Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’!
