How to buy a car during lockdown

During lockdown you can’t visit a dealership and take a car for a test drive so you might think it is impossible to buy a car.

However, Richard Shepherd from MotorLux (in Wantage and Newbury) explains that there are still ways to chose and purchase the car that is right for you:

1. Talk on the phone to a reputable dealer. Explain what kind of vehicle you want (mileage, fuel consumption, size, colour), your budget and maybe why you need a new car. Is it a first time car for a young driver, or do you need to upgrade your existing vehicle?

2. A good dealer will be able to take you on a virtual test drive via video of vehicles suitable for you.

3. You will be able to ‘click and collect’.

4. Or the vehicle can also be delivered to your home with peace of mind that all Covid sanitising etc has been carried out.
