Keeping the Racing Conversation going

Our closed Facebook group, Racing Conversation, is still going strong more than 25 weeks after Derek ‘Tommo’ Thompson joined us for the first virtual Live Q&A. Every Thursday at 11am the group is hosted by a racing personality who talks about their time in the industry and takes questions from members. Anyone who works in or who is retired from the racing or breeding industries is welcome to join the Facebook community – with some exciting guests lined up for the coming weeks, you won’t want to miss out!

Show-stopping lots in the Great Racing Welfare Auction

The Great Racing Welfare Auction has been created to raise much needed funds for the Covid-19 Emergency Appeal. The Appeal needs to raise £500k this year to fill the income deficit from the cancellation of planned fundraising events.

The auction boasts almost 100 lots, thanks to the generosity of the industry, with ‘money can’t buy’ lots including the chance for three people to enjoy 18 holes of golf at Sunningdale with the great AP McCoy, a riding lesson with equestrian legend Sir Mark Todd and a fitness session with marathon world record holder Susannah Gill.

Bidding will run until 8pm on Thursday 24th September when the auction will close. To see all of the lots on offer go to  jumblebee.co.uk/thegreatracingwelfareauction.
