Hungerford Bookshop

24 High Street, Hungerford, Berkshire, RG17 0NF

The award-winning Hungerford Bookshop on Hungerford High Street is owned by Alex and Emma Milne-White who have a passion for books and pride themselves on delivering excellent customer service.

A wide range of both new and second hand titles are available from exciting new reads to timeless classics. Tantalize your taste buds in the Cookery section, relive the past in History or find something amazing for hungry young minds in the Children’s area.

It’s no secret that independent bookshops are struggling to compete with online giants. However Hungerford Bookshop offers its own fast ordering service (most books will arrive the next day), a generous loyalty card scheme, expert advice, author signings and talks – and even the occasional completely free book.

If you want a literary gift for the bookworm in your life, we can wrap and post a book for you or offer our ‘Book for All Seasons’ package of a regular delivery of books throughout the year recommend just for you.

We also stock book tokens, our own gift vouchers, cards, gift wrap, DVDs, Penguin merchandise, notebooks and calendars.

We can also source out-of-print books, and provide maps for planning permission. We are also the place to purchase tickets for Arts for Hungerford events.

Debi Evans: “The staff and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is a tardis of a bookshop and very popular with booklovers, centrally located on Hungerford High Street”.
