Community Furniture Project

Unit F, Hambridge Road Industrial Estate, Bone Lane, Newbury RG14 5SS

The Community Furniture Project is an organisation in Newbury that takes your old furniture, bikes, electrical goods, and much more, selling donated items to raise funds to help disadvantaged people in the local community.

To donate, ring them at either Newbury (01635 43933) or Basingstoke (01265 320 700) to arrange collection of furniture donations, household goods or electrical items, all in good condition. Larger items can be collected from your home by their van crew on weekdays. There is usually a one to three day lead-in time for collections, but if you can bring items to them during our opening hours, they will gladly receive them.

Everyone can shop at the Furniture Projects in Newbury and Basingstoke. You don’t have to be on benefits or be a pensioner – but if you are, you will get up to 30% off regular prices!

Items can include:

• Beds
• Sofas
• Armchairs and chairs
• Tables
• Wardrobes and chests of drawers
• Fridges and freezers
• Washing machines
• Lamps
• Bric-a-brac
• Plus much more!

From customer care to computers and warehouse experience to woodworking skills, volunteering with Community Furniture Project is a fantastic way to help others and help yourself by meeting great people and acquiring new skills.

New volunteers are always welcome in the furniture shops to help with a wide range of jobs, including sorting and pricing donations, dealing with customers, preparing shop displays, helping out in the loading bay, administration and more.
