Online Maths and Physics Tutor

My name is John Haigh and I am a teacher of maths and physics. I studied at the University of Oxford and moved to Hungerford 25 years ago. I have been teaching for 18 years, working with students of GCSE, AS, A2 and IB levels. For IB students, I love to help with extended essays and internal assessments. My classes are fun and interactive, focused on gaining confidence and understanding. I adapt my classes to the specific needs and skills of the student. I have travelled all over the world and am learning Spanish and German so I know how it feels to be a student myself.

I teach online using an interactive classroom with audio and video, spreadsheets, drawing board and more, based around Zoom. Classes are typically 80 minutes to two hours, depending on your concentration levels, and the basic price is £20 per hour with discounts when you book a series of classes. I start with a free 20 minute introduction to get to know each other and discuss what you want to achieve.
