Statement from the Tennis Club regarding the floodlights application

In late September 2019, the Hungerford Tennis Club withdrew its application for environmentally friendly floodlights following concerns from residents about the effect on the ecology, specifically relating to interference of flight routes made by bats. In the spring we will carry out a comprehensive bat survey as requested and, if no-ill effects to the environment are found, we will be resubmitting the application.

Hungerford tennis club is developing an exciting tennis program for 2020 with the schools and local community at its heart (see section above). Improved facilities will allow the club to grow and become sustainable thereby helping more people stay fitter for longer whilst having fun.
