Thames Valley Kings has been shortlisted for three national awards including Club of the Year.

Thames Valley Kings success continues as the club has been nominated and shortlisted for three national awards including Club of the Year. The Richard Langhorn Trust 2019 Wheelchair Basketball Awards, the yearly national awards held by sport’s National Governing Body, British Wheelchair Basketball will see the club and two of its members looking to win big! The club will be looking to win its second ‘Club of the Year’ award after it won the award in 2016.

Kings Junior Liam Barker has been shortlisted again for the Rising Star (Junior Player of the Year) for the third year in a row, The Young Kings lion topped off another excellent season as captain of the league winning Division Two South team and his hard work has been noticed by British wheelchair Basketball and he has been invited to the Under 22s GB men’s trials – another step in the journey for this young lad who’s dreaming of putting on the GB Jersey at a future Paralympics Games one day.

Peter Scoins has also picked up another shortlisting for Volunteer of the Year, the same award he won back in 2016 for his continued hard work both on and off the court.

The awards will take place on the evening of June 29th.
