Newbury Rotary Club is looking forward to their seventh annual ”Boules in the Square” event 10am – 4pm Sunday 9 June when Newbury Marketplace is transformed into sand boules pistes.
It is an opportunity for Newbury-based businesses, charities and residents to have a fun day in a competitive spirit with friends and colleagues, raising money for Rotary’s “End Polio Now” campaign and the Rotary Club of Newbury’s current main charity, The West Berkshire Therapy Centre and other Rotary nominated charities.
Come and enjoy a this community initiative organised by the Rotary Club of Newbury and endorsed by both Newbury Town Councils’ Leisure and Entertainment committee, and Newbury BID.
Why not get involved, enter a team and perhaps even lift the winner’s trophy? Those who played last year had a great time and the competitive spirit seems to be set for rematches this year. Bring your friends and family and chill out in the local outlets between matches.

Business Teams
Four pistes will be for 16 local business teams to play competition games. This is a great opportunity for team building while having fun.
Local business team of 4 people – entry cost £60 per team
There are also opportunities to publicise your company brand with programme and website entries etc. Our plan is to limit to only 16 teams so do not delay to register your team.
Charity/Community Teams
One piste will be for 4 charity/community teams.
Local community/charity team of 4 people – entry cost £35 per team
Individuals
One piste will be dedicated to a competition open to the public with a prize for whoever gets the closest accumulated distance to the “pig” with 3 throws.
Sponsorship Opportunity
If your business would like to sponsor “Boules in the Square” there is a choice of sponsorship packages:
Standard sponsorship, no team entry: £85.
Your company name and logo on the signage boards placed at either end of the square, in the publicity materials, programs, our website etc.
Standard sponsorship with team entry: £115
Your team registration cost, your company name and logo on the signage boards placed at either end of the square, in the publicity materials, programs, our website etc.
Piste Sponsorship with team entry: £220.
Your signage on piste, program entry as the ” YOUR” piste, use of your company name throughout the day by MC
