Ladies Who Brunch is organised by Lanie Allen for local ladies to meet up on the second Thursday of the month at The Halfway Inn (on the A4 between Hungerford and Newbury) for a lovely brunch with a speaker for a local charity. The brunches start at 10.30am with bubbles, followed by a lovely two course brunch with lots of toast & marmalade and bottomless cups of coffee & tea.
The cost is £16 (£1 of which goes to that month’s charity) and booking is essential!
The chosen charity each month benefits from £1 from the cost of each meal plus raffle proceeds. Another benefit is that awareness is raised about the charity and some of the ladies also become volunteers.
Over the period of time we’ve been ‘brunching’, many new friendships have been formed. A Ladies Who Brunch team even did the Race for Life and raised almost £4,000 in sponsorship.
