This year, Shalbourne Primary School has been chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund. At a time when funds for charitable organisations are becoming more difficult to access, we are incredibly grateful for this opportunity to make a real difference to current and future pupils of Shalbourne Primary School.

The School Governors are raising money for an extension to be built to house a staff room and important kitchen facilities. We believe developing cookery skills and healthy eating will support both parents and children in attaining good levels of nutrition essential for growing and learning. A well balanced diet is often the key to better concentration and behaviour.

To help us raise vital funds, we will be relying on Co-op shoppers.

Every time they buy Co-op own-brand products they get a 5% reward for themselves, and a further 1% goes to local causes like ours. Co-op members can decide which local group they would like to back by going online here. We really hope that people will visit the website and choose to support us.
