Another Award for Hungerford Care Home

Hungerford Care Home has just brought in its third award for 2018.

Mrs Elaine Norman, who has been shortlisted in the first five Housekeepers for The National Care Awards 2018, went up the stage to receive her award Care Housekeeper 2018 on 30 November at Hilton Metropole in London. The event was opened by Richard Lunn, Director and Head of Care Christie & Co, and Dr Richard Hawkins, Editor in Chief of Caring Times.

Mrs Elaine Norman joined Hungerford Care Home as a Domestic. Her devotion and passion to keeping it immaculately clean has been rewarded and from 2013 she was promoted to Housekeeper. Elaine has ensured that this aspect of the Hungerford Care Home is operating to optimum levels at all times and in line with hotel standards to create a pleasant and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors. She embodies the role with passion and residents and families are praising her work on carehome.co.uk’s reviews. Elaine inspires her team and is always proud of them and of the home. With her innovative nature, Elaine turned the Housekeeping work around and provides the best standards for our residents.

“I am overwhelmed with emotions,” Elaine admitted after receiving the award. “I knew that my work was important but to bring this accolade to Hungerford Care Home makes me very proud. My colleagues encouraged me believe in myself and with passion and commitment I have my trophy next to Kanika’s and Bella’s!”

“What a great achievement,” Home Manager Mrs Bella Balaci said. “The best achievement as Home Manager is that to see your team succeeding and have their hard work recognised at National Care Awards. She, I and her colleagues Kanika Sharma and Hannah Carter were sharing tears of joy and pride. I am happy being part of this story.”
