Could you be a projectionist for Marlborough Downs Movies or Marlborough Downs Livescreen events ? We’re looking to build up additional resources for our busy team, presenting satellite broadcasts of live events and encore performances from major venues on the big screen in Marlborough Town Hall, along with supporting our regular programme of film shows.
Marlborough Downs Livescreen events tend to be 7pm on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, and around 3hrs duration (but attending pre-show tests would be required), and the new season of operas from the New York Met are at 5pm on Saturdays (some running upwards of 4hrs). All these events are live satellite broadcasts, so you’d ideally be available for a daytime transmission test too – which takes about an hour, usually late in the morning. You’ll need to be technically competent, but training can be provided.
Marlborough Downs Movies are always 7pm on Thursdays (off DVD or BluRay), and are really very easy to run.
Projectionists are offered a nominal fee dependent on the complexity of the requirements of the event.
