Love Wantage Quiz & Loyalty Scheme

Love Wantage

Visit Wantage Town Team at the town’s market on Saturday to celebrate the contribution local independent businesses make to our town and chat about the work being done to promote the town centre via the Love Wantage campaign.

Shoppers can enter a fun quiz too and have the chance to win themselves a £25 local shopping voucher, by matching items to the latest independent businesses to have opened up in Wantage town centre.

It’s also an opportunity to become part of the Wantage & Grove Loyalty scheme which links together many local businesses, and provides members with monthly updates on new arrivals and a host of special offers. You can also sign up for the scheme at any of the participating businesses listed at wantageandgroveloyalty.co.uk

Wantage Market Town Co-ordinator, Mim Norvell, says: “One of the things that we’ve noticed since launching the town team is that people often have regular routes around town when they visit and so sometimes take a while to get to know new businesses that have set up here. In recent months we’ve had a number join our strong group of independents, plus one move to a larger location. This is an opportunity for us to showcase those businesses and to introduce the Love Wantage campaign, including the new website at lovewantage.uk. It’s also an opportunity for for local people to chip in their ideas about the town centre.”

The Love Wantage website brings together up to date information about shopping and services, places to eat and drink, things to see and do, and places to stay in and around Wantage town centre. It also accesses the various initiatives the town team has run since its launch in 2013, including guides to local shopping and places to eat, drink and stay, a series of short films to introduce some of the town’s independent businesses and the Google My Business project to strengthen the town’s presence on a key promotional platform.

The website hosts regular blogs on town team projects, including working with landlords and agents to help reduce the number of empty shops , the pioneering development of The Mix community space on Mill Street and a feature on the Wantage Markets.
