So, has the new year made you think about a new hobby? One that incorporates keeping fit, eating healthily and getting out in the fresh air, perhaps? Why not consider taking on an allotment plot in Hungerford?
Plots are available at both sites in the town from just £12 per year.
HAHA (Hungerford Allotment Holders Association) are a friendly bunch who love to share their passion for gardening and growing your own. One of the great things about growing on an allotment is the help you can get from other plotholders – of course, they may all give you different advice! But you’ll certainly get lots of ideas and can see how neighbours are doing things if you don’t know.
Five More Years at Marsh Lane Allotments!
Marsh Lane plot holders were delighted with the news that the extended allotment site lease has been agreed ‘in principle’ between Hungerford Town Council and the landowner/developer.
HAHA are now working out their 5-year plan to see how we want to develop the site and encourage a new generation of gardeners.
Why not join us on our beautiful site which HAHA has established and managed on behalf of the Town Council for the last 8 years.
The Fairfields site is a smaller town-site with easy access from the High Street.
There are community plots for the nursery school and the primary school.
