Frost Damage

This spring has been a stinker for late frosts after early warmth, catching out many of us gardeners -especially when the weather forecasts were wrong…

It is heart-breaking but the good news is that you can often help plants recover, even when they lose nearly all their leaves.

Simply snip off the damaged parts of the plant so that it conserves its energy on the new growth.

The results will be drastic:

 

new growth beansBut just five days later our beans had healthy new growth so I hopeful will have a good crop yet:
