What is Easy Shop?
Easy Shop is a service provided by Age UK Berkshire in association with the leading supermarkets to give you regular and reliable supermarket shopping delivered to your home.
Who can use Easy Shop?
If you find it difficult to get to the shops, can’t or don’t want to shop on-line: whether you’re older or a person with disabilities, Easy Shop is designed for you.Wherever you live in Berkshire, Easy Shop is for you.
How does Easy Shop work?
One of our team will visit you in your home to set up the Easy Shop system. We will discuss your shopping needs with you, or we can deal with a relative, a friend, neighbour or carer if you prefer.
We will then telephone you at an agreed time to take your shopping order.
You can order on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis; we work with Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Asda, so you can choose your favourite each time or even try a different store.
“I find the Easy Shopper service very useful as I can’t get to the shops. Someone from Age Concern visited me at home to get it set up and I can now place an order any time I like from a supermarket of my choice.” Frank, East Garston.
What does it cost?
In addition to the costs of your shopping, Age UK Berkshire makes a small charge for arranging the service for you, to cover our costs: that’s cheaper than paying someone else to do it for you. The supermarkets may also make a small charge for delivery.
