One Sun, One Moon, Two Stars by Margaret Armand Smith
One Sun, One Moon, Two Stars is about three children called Jonathan, Victoria and Ben. When they visit the New Forest they are magically transported back to Norman England, where they meet the mysterious Gleeman in their struggle to get back to the 21st Century.
My favorite character was the Gleeman, because he is very elusive and you never really know who he is. I liked the way the story was told because it had fairly simple vocabulary and structure, but it is used very effectively to portray a very good story line.
The only thing I didn’t like was how quickly the author killed off one of the characters (I don’t want to ruin it for you so I won’t tell you who it is!), it doesn’t give the reader enough time to know more about and feel for the character, apart from that, I loved it!
I would recommend this book to anyone as it is enjoyable for all ages. It doesn’t compare to anything I’ve read before.
I would give this book a 9/10, Adam (12 yrs)
