I love this time of year: the trees are about to become a riot of colour, and the gentle autumn light is very flattering for everyone’s skin! Traditionally, autumn is a time of plenty so we’re bringing you a month of treats as we celebrate our forthcoming move to the Wasing Estate on 8th November, and telling you about a Halloween mask that you’ll actually want to wear.

Boost autumn skin health from the inside out

Nutrients from foods that benefit our skin health will also benefit our overall health and wellbeing. Therefore, it is important to eat a diet packed with a variety of antioxidants and nutrients from fresh vegetables and fruit, whole grains, cold-water fish, lean protein, nuts, seeds and legumes. If you are not keen on eating lots of fruit and vegetables, why not try juicing them? I highly recommend a daily shot of wheatgrass juice to boost your intake of vitamins and minerals.

Maintain skin hydration

Maintaining the correct level of skin hydration during the winter months can be tricky, so start by drinking at least two litres of water a day. If the very thought of this makes you shiver, try drinking your water hot or warm, with a squeeze of fresh lemon and / or some grated ginger.
