4 Legs Community Radio for the Lambourn Valley – Project Update

Project Update January 2018 – by Chris Capel

I’m pleased and excited to inform you that I’ve now got the funds needed to get 4 Legs Community Radio up and running. A huge thanks to those people who donated money via the Just Giving Crowd Funding page. I’d also like to give a special thanks to the Lambourn Open Day committee, the Lambourn Festival committee, the Lambourn Co-Op and friends from Eastbury for their generous donations.
As a result of this good news my aim is to:

GO LIVE ON FRIDAY APRIL 6th with the first programme broadcast at 9am

I’m planning to hold a launch event on Good Friday March 30th with a pitch in the Market Square Lambourn in the morning and hopefully at the Open Day in the afternoon. In addition, there will be launches in East Garston and Great Shefford either towards the end of March or the second week in April. I will provide further details of the launch events when I have them.

Items wanted for the Radio Studio

I’ve kindly been donated a coffee machine by some local residents but I’m still looking for the following:

• Either an office partition that I can pin notices on (size about 6’ x 3’) or as an alternative a large corked board.
• A plain pale coloured off-cut carpet of approx. 3.3 metres x 2.7 metres.
• In addition to the above I’d like to obtain some radio station related items and memorabilia for the studio.

If you have any such items or know someone that does can you please let me know.
There’s a lot of work to be done so if anyone would like to get involved or help with the 4 Legs Community Radio project in anyway then please contact me at [email protected]

I will give a further update towards the end of February so in the meantime, please spread the word that…
