Let's go Batty -Bat Walk and Talk

Dave Endacott from the Oxford bat group will be at the Nature Discovery Centre this evening. He will introduce you to his rescue bats which will include Sophie the serotine bat, Wally the noctule and Cherpy the pipistrelle.

You will learn all about our native British bats, their flight, food and echolocation.

At dusk we’ll take bat detectors and explore the lakeside and listen for bats flying and feeding over the water and surrounding areas.

What to bring?
Please bring a torch and a bat detector if you have one.

What to wear?
This is an evening event so dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.

Is there an age limit for children?
Children must be 6+ years
